This post marks a transition from the days of LiveJournal to a new WordPress blog that I will host myself. I've been fighting the idea of switching to my own blog system for a long time because of the easy of use that LiveJournal offers. This changed when I did some research to setup Andrea's blog/site. I had first configured a Movable Type system but it seemed to complicated to just hand over to someone to use as a means to maintain a website. Then came WordPress, which I had actually glanced over in my first round of evaluations. On the second look I realized it was a pretty slick system that offered most of the features I needed. After some hacking all my LiveJournal posts(sans comments) have been migrated over to this system for long-term preservation. |

The plague has escaped in to NJ in 3 infected lab mice. Lucky for me its a couple blocks away from me. I'm happy that a deadly disease has been released in my city. Please do not panic. |

I don't go off on bands too often but I feel I must right now. Flyleaf is sweet. Hard Rock + Girl Lead Vocals = Awesome.

So wireless internet access sucks. I can't seem to get on to the APs at defcon. That means I am forced to use dialup over bluetooth to my cell phone. 9600 bps is just not enough for me.

Yay! The new Mac minis came out less than 2 weeks after I buy mine. I love apple for that. At least the changes are trivial. They integrated a few more of the add-ins by default. I would of scored an airport/BT card in mine instead. Its not even worth the effort to exchange it. I would have to uninstall the RAM I installed and clean up all my stuff off the machine.

I do not like water. Water does not like me. We don't get along, we had a fight and we broke up yesterday. Enough with dancing around the subject, my basement flooded yesterday. I spent most of my day cleaning it up. I'm just glad my Dad bought a pump a year back, it saved a lot of time since it moves water so much faster than a shop-vac.

Go on wikipedia and look around NJ for towns with insanely high average family incomes, then I look at the towns in Google Earth and look at the rich people houses. Tewksbury has been fun for the moment.

Nothing like hardcore/metal to pass a boring day. :-) The only problem is that my desired CD list keeps growing now.

Saw Mr and Mrs Smith this weekend. It gave me what I wanted a funny action movie. It was totally unbelievable but it was still fun.

Just when I thought I'd seen everything. I saw a man today who had no legs or lower torso and he was attached to something that looked like a skateboard. He was wheeling himself down the sidewalk with his hands. Amazing! I am impressed really, to get around can't be easy.

I got hooked up at work. They gave me a Latitude D800 Pentium 4 1.6Ghz, 1Gig Ram, 40 gig 5400rpm, Geforce4 4200 go. Its not bad at all. In fact it rocks because its widescreen and has the Dell b/g wireless card so now I can fully utilize my ghetto MS wireless router. Its a little lame but the implementation of WPA on the router doesn't work with anything. I had to resort to 128-bit wep(still not bad).

I think that my mac may have some bad ram in it somewhere. Im not quite sure really but OS X dies really hard sometimes and that seems to be a good explanation for it dying. I just hope its the pathetic little 32 meg DIMM and not one of the 128 meg DIMMs. Anyway, I have like 23ish pages to compose over the next few days. So far I have about 2... yeah. I have some problems to deal with this week.
